POSITION: Structural Graduate Engineer

Structural Engineer will be responsible for engineering design / analysis of steel, concrete & wood structures. This position requires the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, follow up with team members to finalize projects on a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

EIT certification required
Masters degree in Civil / Structural / Architectural Engineering required
Strong background in Steel, concrete & wood structural design required
Finite element modeling experience required
Experience in MathCAD preferred
Lattice tower analysis / design experience preferred
Experience in STAAD preferred
Familiar with AutoCAD preferred
Be able to travel to sites to obtain field data.
Be able to make clear and detailed field sketches and notes.
Strong written & oral communication skills are required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engineering design and review of new or existing structures.
Making field visits to obtain necessary data.
Reviewing design plans & calculations.
Produce structural details in CAD.
Out of town traveling as required.
Quality control review of drawings.
Other tasks as assigned

General Contractor based in Dallas is seeking a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager for a project located in Forth Worth, which is currently in the preconstruction phase. The candidate chosen for this role will assist the Project Manager, Superintendents, and other field personnel in the daily work flow of the the ongoing project. An ideal candidate for the position will be a college graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with at least two years experience working in the commercial construction industry. In addition, qualified candidates will have trackable experience in a broad range of projects, to include mid sized to large multifamily family,as well as ground up construction of private and some government projects. Leed AP experience required.
